Inheritance Legal Services Limited are an award winning family run company founded in 2010 with the vision of making Will Writing and Estate Planning more affordable and understandable to the public, which we believe we have achieved.
From the moment you first speak to a member of our friendly and professional team, you will see how easy the process of protecting your family's future really is.
Our friendly Estate Planners visit you in the comfort of your own home, either during the day or in the evening at no additional cost. They will give you advice and take instructions based on what you would like to achieve.
We work on a low cost, fixed fee service - with no hourly rates!bwc-meaning-png
All of our Asset Protection Trust documents are produced by a team of Solicitors so you have peace of mind knowing that these are produced to the highest standards, but at a much reduced rate.
We are proud to be the only Legal Services provider in Cambridgeshire who are approved by Trading Standards, through their 'Buy With Confidence' scheme and accredited by Norfolk Trading Standards under their 'Trusted Trader' scheme.
A Will is one of the most important documents that you will sign during your lifetime, however, making your Will does not need to be a daunting task. A Will is not just about who is to inherit your money, it is also about protection for your family.
Your Will is a legal document which outlines what you would like to happen to everything you own (known as your 'Estate') once you pass away. Those responsible for distributing your Estate are (usually family members/ close friends) known as your 'Executors'.
Lasting Power of Attorney
If you suffer a stroke, mental illness or have an accident that renders you incapacitated, you may no longer be deemed capable of making financial decisions and your bank accounts will be frozen.
If you leave it too late and capacity is lost then the Office of the Public Guardian will appoint a Court appointed Deputy to manage your affairs. This can be very expensive and upsetting for the family as often this is not a family member and it can take as long as 12 months to arrange.
When applying for the right to deal with a deceased person's affairs (administering the estate), you need to establish Probate. If the person who has died left a Will, they may have specified who should carry out the probate process. These people are expected to "execute" the Will, which means they will share out the estate as specified and deal with any related complications, as well as carry out any other final wishes specified in the Will. However, you are not legally required to act as executor, even if you are the only executor named in the Will. If there is no executor named, or there is no Will, someone must become the administrator of the estate - this will be someone who would benefit from the Will, or a blood relative if no Will exists. The administrator largely performs the same tasks that an executor would, although they often have no Will to act upon.
We offer Funeral Plans via our strategic partner who are endorsed by the 'National Federation of Funeral Directors'.
Your financial journey can take you to some unexpected destinations, and while it's no secret staying on top of your livelihood is important, doing so comprehensively, accurately and successfully can be harder than it sounds.
